meet brittany

brittany just so happens to be the first person ever to formally inquire about a position at heidzillas. dozens of hdz employment inquiries and over a year and a half later, brittany moved from pittsburgh to ohio and tried her luck again. she and heidi met, and she became immediate partners in crime with hdz. she assists with our full planning weddings and is also available for day of coordination. our couples and bridal parties love her for her darling personality and passion to help make things perfect. because we’re always asked: sorry, groomsmen… brittany’s taken! we can’t wait for 10/06/12!
name: brittany wire
twitter: @brittZILLAS
status: engaged to an event rentals manager
siblings: youngest of two girls
college/major: kent state, managerial marketing
personal theme song: mony mony, billy idol
one word they’ll put on your tombstone: BOOM!
from an early age: brittany has six years experience at a top pittsburgh bridal store, so she’s our go-to gal for all things bustled, buttoned and zipped!
season started with hdz: 2010
favorite part of weddings: unique personal touches, because while they can often be overlooked, it gives meaning to standard wedding expectations and expresses the personalities of the couple. they also can be awesome detail-photo opportunities!
favorite part of the wedding day: the grooms reaction at first sight of his bride… melts her heart every time.
best moment while working an hdz wedding: seeing heidi mopping a kitchen floor in a sari. sorry heidzilla buuut….
funniest thing seen at a wedding: hdz bride saira decked out in vera wang and christian loubs sprinting away from her nay-sayting bridal party to jump in the cleveland art museum fountain. we think it’s safe to say the photos were totally worth it!
toughest moment at hdz: during one of her first lead coordinating experiences, the couple was lucky enough to be featured on “amazing wedding cakes”. executing the logistical aspects of managing a large bridal party, guests and the tv crew and staying on schedule was exciting challenge – and it went off without a hitch!
must have beauty tool/makeup: bronzer.
must get photo: the “we now pronounce you…” moment at the ceremony
favorite song to get the crowd dancing: don’t stop believing, journey
favorite cake flavor + filling: lemon cake + raspberry preserves
favorite favor: anything edible!
can’t forget detail: something old/new/borrowed/blue and a sixpence in your shoe
don’t fret over it detail: the weather! just grab a cute accessory like an umbrella and some galoshes and make the best of it. those photos might be your favorite!
