the process: jen is one of our two july 23 brides. she contacted us to do day of coordination and some decor tasks. somehow it came up that her mom and sister might like decor help with her bridal shower. i was very happy to help – especially when i heard it was at my all time favorite restaurant, the melting pot!
the priorities making a special event look special, but without interfering with the outstanding food!
the challenges: it was challenging to plan bridal party decor around a restaurant that has burners built into the tables, not to mention lots of dishes and food skewers everywhere! jen’s sister, tammy and i decided to keep everything as minimal as possible so guests could enjoy the food most.
the details:
here’s what we came up with!
a lantern served as our card box complete with peacock feather and the bride and grooms initial’s
a jewel-toned balloon arrangement that could perch on the floor but still be colorful in the room
we placed a thin, small purple vases with eucalyptus and feathers on each table
the individual place settings were used to assign seats and also served as a favor. tammy had personalized note cards with envelopes designed for every guest. the melting pot helped us out by renting peacock teal napkins for the silver roll.
colorful jewels and votives were also on the table for decoration but still left plenty of room for plates! tammy also added some fun colorful nailpolish for guests to take home.
and then the feast!

congratulations jen! we’re very much looking forward to your wedding weekend in just about a month! we’re helping with her rehearsal dinner and some wedding day planning tasks as well.
