the hiring:

laurie, tracy’s mom, called me after having seen me work at tara and cj’s wedding. they had a great deal of planning finished and didn’t want to have to worry about the day of coordination. we were excited to help!
the planning:
i spoke to laurie often about plans in the making. we also had two planning sessions, one to get started, and a second at the ritz carlton. i also accompanied t&t to their cake tasting filming the week of the wedding. (more on that later.)

the results:

rehearsal
i ADORE bay presbyterian, having had the chance to coordinate twice before for tara & cj and for kim & ryan.

a past minister came back to help officiate the ceremony and the fantastic church coordinator, sue, also helped everyone a great deal at the rehearsal and the day of.

always a favorite shot to get – the fob and bride before rehearsing!

before the handing off

and after!

over here gents!

ceremony
the day of was brisk but beautiful, with just enough snow. there was such a festive feeling in the air!

blooms set up some lovely details in the church

family friends stopped in to see tracy before the ceremony and to share a prayer.

tracy peeked at her guests filling the church until we made her move away from the window in fear she’d see tony too soon!

and then it was time to start!

one last shot before it was time!

man and wife!

reception

as soon as the ceremony was over, we hurried downtown to the ritz carlton to meet up with we tv amazing wedding cakes film crew. tracy and tony had also been chosen by white flower cake shoppe and we tv to receive an amazing wedding cake!

and it WAS. fondant flowers, gold leaf details and more!

tracy and tony’s reaction for the baker and we tv was outstanding! they loved it!

after the filming, guests were invited in for cocktails. they first saw the birch tree and candle escort card set up.

the invitation included rsvp postcards asking for “advice” which blooms made into a wish tree for the guests to see what others wrote.

the piano was set with several generations of family wedding photos…

…next to bride and groom growing up photos as a slide show.

then it was time to invite guests inside to see the beautiful room set up.

and then line up the bridal party for announcements

alllllllllllmost!

after announcements, tracy’s father gave a darling very well-written welcome that brought tears to our eyes. (see the video!)

after dinner, tracy and her father had one of the cutest father daughter dances we’ve seen!

and soon after the monstrous amazing italian cookie table was open for guests to enjoy!

while the orchestra packed the dance floor!

the notables:
favorite planning moment: i loved my phone calls with tracy’s mom about their details. she considered us a valuable partner and we love when our experience and suggestions are trusted!
something old/new: laurie, the mother of the bride, put together a handkerchief with her mothers, her own and tracy’s initials and dress details on it. there was a corner left for tracy’s sister as well.
unique detail: white flower cake shoppe replicated the broach on tracy’s dress for the cake!

biggest challenge: having a film crew for a second week in a row wasn’t as overwhelming for us, but was still another piece of the overall day to coordinate along with guests who congregated outside the cocktailing area while the bride and groom got to see their cake.
sources: the stellar cookie to go boxes were found at nashville wraps.
fun fact: tony proposed to tracy with help of the miami university collegiate chorale and the canadian brass! tracy’s brother jeffrey arranged ed cash’s “marry me” for them to sing and the brass to play right after tracy was called to the stage in front of the entire audience. see the awesome video of the proposal here.

tracy and tony – we LOVED ending our 2010 season with you. we loved your full of energy head-over-heels-in-love wedding day! two months later, we’re still smiling about it. congrats!

and laurie, you’re one of our favorite mob’s EVEEEEEEER!!!! xoxo

imagen’s nathan hearts you too :)

and NOW, you must see the imagen highlight reel of the day – we bet you can’t watch it without smiling… and crying!

Melanie - Hey. where did the bride get her dress? it is gorgeous!!!June 21, 2011 – 11:59 pm

Martha - This looks like a wonderful wedding. I actually just started writing articles at The Cheap Wedding based on my own experiences to help people get a cheap wedding. I was wondering if you know where the bridesmaids got their dresses and if you know any cheap options in that area? Regards, MarthaAugust 20, 2011 – 10:24 pm
