in the numbers: not strapless, not white?

while this may not come as a shock to anyone who’s been to a lot of weddings, in the wedding industry or keeps up with wedding day fashion, 21 of heidzillas brides this year wore strapless gowns. and they looked GORGEOUS! it surprised me, though, that only 4 of our brides, (2 of mine, 2 of Elissa’s) wore dresses that weren’t technically strapless!

…and only 2 of our 25 brides wore dresses that would be considered a definite ivory rather than a shade of WHITE! that’s less than 10%!

so….do you think the white and strapless trend will continue into 2010?

Sarah - Mine is white… but it’s not strapless.December 15, 2009 – 11:22 am

Karen - While strapless will never go “out”, I’m REALLY excited to see the new straps/necklines/sleeves coming back in! I wanted so badly to have a portrait neckline or lace 3/4 sleeve jacket for my wedding (gorgeous examples have come out by Pronovias, Mori Lee, Essense of Australia among others) just to step outside of the box and try to “start” something. It’s not like these are your moms sleeves we’re talking about from the 70′s and 80′s (or even the snow monster 90′s), these are CUTE! I hope it catches on as a trend in 2010.

(P.S. Oh yes and on another note, pockets rock)December 27, 2009 – 5:04 pm
