traci & chuck – part 3: reception | heidzillas

as soon as the ceremony was over, traci, chuck and the bridal party did formal photography with hal from dv8ed and john from red moments in various places of the hotel. the greenery and the various balconies made for some neat settings.

and kudos to bridesmaid shanna who did a super job of making traci and chuck’s son and ringbearer aj smile during photos!

meanwhile guests enjoyed the cocktail hour in the embassy suite‘s main lobby area

yum!

after cocktail hour, they walked back over to the ceremony area that was cleared out. the escort cards were set up with the engagement photo guest book that traci made through an online book making site.

also set up was the darling card box that traci made, as seen on the heidzillas blog in october

traci also hand crafted some kids activity kits that were at their seats at the tables when they entered.

the cake was just like the inspiration photo – a photo of a previous cake the cake loft had made and traci saw on their site! it matched PERFECTLY with the decor.

the tables has striped overlays, votive candles that said “amor” and their names and the date which were filled with m&ms, hand crafted table numbers and lit centerpieces with sunken orchids.

one of traci’s favorite touches were the paper lanterns that the staff at embassy was able to hang over the dance floor.

back outside, the bridal party and the bride and groom were all ready to be announced to one of my faaaaaaavorite songs: boom boom pow by the black eyed peas.

directly following announcements, traci and chuck did their cake cutting. many guests called for some smashing but they fed each other a bite politely :)

matt and adam were the djs of the night from marino brothers. matt happened to be one of the groomsmen at jessica and brandon’s wedding in october!

after toasts and the blessing, we arranged for traci’s dad and brother to surprise them with a slideshow of photos from them growing up and being together.

it was really sweet to see and hear the reactions to the photos – some of which were incriminating!

traci and chuck, it was an extreme pleasure coordinating so nicely planned wedding! it was a super wedding to finish off my 2009 season. i hope you have a blast on your honeymoon next week!
