maureen & adam – part 1: ceremony

my day actually started with set up at guys party center last friday, but i thought i’d start this recap in actual event order. i arrived at the hudson community chapel to help the bride, groom and their bridal party with anything pre-ceremony. i was quickly entrusted with the limo bus sign hand made by the bridesmaids. really cute, eh?

i double checked the altar for all of the necessary items and it sort of took my breath away it was so classy.

the church and grounds were large enough for tom forrest (along with not shown andrew jordan) to do photos outside without risking the groom and his men catching any peeks of the bride, her maids and her extremely cute flower girls who i wanted to put in my pocket and take home with me.

during the outdoor photo shoot, guests arrived and signed maureen and adam’s specially made ohio state jersey that was used as a guest book.

then the music started and it was processional time. i was very much missing my little point and shoot during this ceremony but managed to get a couple decent shots of the ceremony going on…

my personal favorite part of the ceremony was the parental blessing and the parental charge. the pastor assured maureen and adam’s parents that they had done a fine job in raising two fine people but maureen was now adam’s wife and adam her husband. it was all very moving and rather thought-provoking to me at the time about not the ending of two different family units, but the creation of a new one, a sacred one that must be respected and appreciated.

and at last, the pronouncement!

i was helping, so i didn’t have camera in-hand but after that there was a really darling bubble exit and a run to this CUTE getaway car!

i whisked away the few items that needed to be at the reception and headed back to guys party center.
