meghan & cameron – part two: ceremony

i arrived at st. francis de sales a bit early for the noon ceremony to be sure there were no passings of the groom and his men with the bride and her maids…

and to greet the florist, judy of creations by lynn who brought altar arrangements and pew bows.

flowers were also placed on the altar of the blessed mother in memory of meghan’s father, john.

programs, check!

the harpist, kate conway brown, and soloist, mary jane carlin, were able to practice the beautiful “ave maria” before guests arrived.

i also snuck upstairs to the choir loft to discuss the bride’s processional cueing with trumpteter, dan georges and organist, gerry mass.

the view from the choir loft – beautiful church!

and the view from the church up to the choir loft.

i snapped a couple of quick ceremony shots with my phone, as i had been shooting with my sister-in-law’s slr all morning and didn’t know how loud it would be or how the flash would act. i’ll leave those important fancy camera shots to the pros.

after the ceremony, the bride, groom and bridal party took formal portraits at the church and then headed to downtown cleveland for pictures around voinovich park and at their reserved time at the historical courthouse. meanwhile, i assisted meghan’s mom, fran (left in teal) with a luncheon she hosted at her home. also show is cameron’s mom, mary (right in plum.)

friends and family snacked some yummy sandwiches and these really good cupcakes with whip frosting… man i could go for another one of those right now.

guests enjoyed their lunch on fran’s patio. i want a pergola so badly now. (devin: hint, hint)

we’ve been lucky to have some sunny, warm saturdays this wedding season, but i think 9/12/09  the *best* weather day yet. it was so moderate and the sun was just warm enough.
