last night was maria and phil’s rehearsal at our lady of mount carmel. this is the one on the west side, not to be confused with the one in wickliffe where my friends mariah and steve were married.
many family and friends gathered to be a part of the rehearsal, as many of them will be playing a special role in the ceremony today. several of maria’s aunts and uncles make up the ceremony musicians today and phil’s father and a family friend will be singing.
reverend raush led last night’s rehearsal by going through the entire mass before the participants actually walked through it.
before the physical run through, maria and i made sure the family members knew where there were to be seated. maria and phil are fortunate to have all four of their grandmothers in attendance today! we will defintely give the vips extra special attention today.

groomsman dave was a lucky guy getting to escort not one but two bridesmaids :).
we gave extra special instructions to flower girl audrey (who is 3 by the way and just.so.cute!) to walk slowly and smile down the aisle. she was very determined! i switched my camera to video really quickly, you have to see how darn focused she was! i hope she is up to the walk again today.
then, of course, a practice of the best walk ever – maria and her father, daniel.

the color of this alter is so muted, it will be really lovely once all the bridesmaids are in their pastel dresses and the bride in her gorgeous gown. (i saw some pictures, la la!)
phil and maria’s friend lauren clifford is an aspiring photographer and graciously agreed to get some shots of the rehearsal which was so nice because my point and shoot just doesn’t do as well in churches.
and then they were practice-married!
coming up early next week – a full wedding review for maria & phil, liz & zach, and katy & rodney. it’s going to be a wonderful wedding weekend – enjoy this great weather and have a safe and happy labor day weekend!
