the year so far: favorite diy

i’ve had some really crafty brides and have had fun making some do-it-yourself wedding items myself this year so far. here are a couple favorite from my brides and a couple of projects i did:

first was tara and cj’s ceremony programs. tara did an awesome job laying out all of the page that folded perfect, cutting the covers, making sticker monograms from the fronts. she enlisted her mom and mom’s friends for an evening of fun snacks and assembly. they turned out beautifully. i loved the smaller size and the copy inside was very personal and thought out.

another favorite diy project, that also appeared in my tysf: favorite decor post, was carolyn and jim’s cupcake stand. it was stellar and was so appropriate with the other decor.  jim’s family cut the wood and carolyn’s family stained and finished the stand. i loved that both families had a hand in it.

there are two diy projects i did for weddings that were my personal favorites for the fun in making them and the reward of how they turned out! the first was the table numbers for codi and joe’s reception. it was such a fun project because bff codi and i cut and assembled the actual paper/ribbon part together one random evening at her dining room table. i also got to go on the photo shoot (in which i titled myself “art director”) with corey ann when they took the number-holding photos.

the second favorite diy project result of the year, if you remember was my pride and joy: a cardbox for jillian and kevin’s reception. there was a lot of research behind the design and affordable supplies. it was more detailed to make and it turned out just how we had hoped!

were there any diy projects that i’ve posted this year that were your favorite?
