there are some great songs that have come out in the past year or so that are perfect for first dances, grand entrances, etc. but my favorite song from the year so far is “i’m yours” by jason mraz. (anyone else going to the concert tonight? see you there!)
my bff codi and her husband, joe used the song during their cake cutting, but it would also be wonderful for a first dance.
runner up for favorite song of this year so far is “single ladies” by beyonce. it’s a PERFECT song for bouquet toss, especially with the lyrics “all the single ladies, now put your HANDS UP!” i’ve seen this a couple of times this year including codi and jillian’s weddings.
what’s your favorite song selection for a wedding event? (announcements, cake cutting, first dance, father/daughter dance, mother/son dance, etc.?)

and totally agree that “I’m Yours” is a great song to play for a cake cutting, etc. I had never thought of that before!
