once i knew the ceremony was underway, i headed over to st. noel banquet center.
when guests entered, they first saw the escort card table as well as two “wish trees”.
the escort cards had those darling little birdies that were part of carolyn and jim’s monogram – also seen on the programs and unity candles.

near the wish tree was a little note asking guests to write a memory or some marriage advice. the tags were adorned with leaf and butterfly stamps. the jars that held the tree branches also had the birdie monogram. like i mentioned – carolyn did a fab job of keeping consistency through out all of the decor!
it seemed to me that almost all of the guests jotted down a little something for the bride and groom.

before:
after:
oh and no, i didn’t forget to try to get a photographer action shot in
here’s leah stafford doing some details shots!

the bird monogram was also seen on the card box… err… card cage.
in lieu of traditional favors, carolyn and jim made a donation to the children’s home of poughkeepsie, ny in honor of their guests. a plantable bookmark was placed at each guest’s seat.

if you remember the flower girl baskets and monogram door wreaths, the centerpieces kept up with the leaf/moss/branch theme. half of the centerpieces were candles with moss and small birds nests. the other half were apothecary jars with live plants and moss!

after announcements carolyn and jim did their first dance to the very fitting song, “beauty and the beast.” the two first met and fell in love when they were playing opposite each other in the title roles of the show!

after dinner, the dance floor was officially with a bridal party dance and then guests were asked to join the group.

geoff of hats off entertainment had the dance floor packed from the get go…

…and even had guests participating in “the bird” : )
back to details: jim’s family cut an actual tree to put together this cupcake stand that was then stained and sealed. the cupcakes were from sam’s club in mentor and smelled sooooo yummy!

hopefully guests had worked up an appetite dancing since the cupcakes were accompanied by a massive ice cream sundae bar!!!! love that idea.
carolyn and jim, you planned a perfect wedding! thank you so much for having me be a part of your special day! i hope your alaskan honeymoon is as wonderful as your wedding day.
