i have seen some beautiful cakes already this year. i’ve even got to taste most of them which is the main thing… but we’re going for looks on this one since i haven’t got to taste them ALL.
the top honor for my favorite cake for the year so far was at c.c. & kevin’s wedding. it was from phyllis lester designs with flowers by tina gudin of prestige floral events. this cake made everyone stop and stare. it was stellar. hands downs, awesome. those two are quite the cake + flowers team!
runner up is tara & cj’s cake by cmykakes with florals done by colleen of blooms by plantscaping. it was so elegant and just so wedding. what really got me was i saw the inspiration photo the florist had while she was adding the flowers and i couldn’t get over how spot on the cake was and how perfect the flowers matched. i think it was *just* what tara had hoped for. pretty!
