lindsay & aaron – part 2: ceremony

on the morning of lindsay and aaron’s ceremony, i spent my entire drive down to akron white-knuckled because it was raining so hard, in addition to going through all of the “plan b” options we would have to use because the rain just didn’t seem like it was letting up.  i was disappointed because there was a perfect place at our lady of victory for a bubble exit which the wind and the rain seemed  was surely going to ruin. but wouldn’t you know. just as guests started to arrive at the church, it cleared up AND the sun came out! while i was doing some set up, i kept peeking outside to make sure my eyes weren’t fooling me!

while i was buzzing around double checking ceremony decor, lindsay and her ladies arrived. they were working on getting the infamous veil in her hair. there were many ways to go, but they got it in there!

after the aisle runner was rolled, moms were escorted and the gentlemen arrived on the alter, it was time for the ladies’ processional.

my favorite part of my day!

the ceremony was very personal and the guests got a great laugh while watching aaron tip toe around lindsay’s beautiful dress train and the veil, as he was taught the night before.

post-ceremony the weather was PERFECT for the bubble exit! before lindsay’s cousin passed out the bubble tubes, i got lindsay’s veil OFF so that it would be easier for her greet the guests in the pews and for the long bubble exit walking she was to be doing.

i snuck in this shot of the bride and groom just about to round the corner for the bubble blowing while lindsay was checking out her new hardware : )
lindaaronwed-036

one of *the best* bubble walks i’ve seen yet! columns to frame them, lots of guests ready with the bubbles and wands that worked very well. it seems to me the thin clear test tube-like bubble wands work better than the little mini jug ones for you brides and grooms out there thinking about doing bubbles.

after the bubbles and a jump in the limo, the bridal party came back in for formal photography with riverfront photography.
lindaaronwed-043

what would a heidzillas wedding recap be without some photographer action shots?
lindaaronwed-046

oh and see!!! lindsay’s veil was super pretty.

post-church formals, we got the bridal party in the sweet stretch limo from thomas limousine and headed to  the sheraton suites in cuyahoga falls.
lindaaronwed-053

i had seen the falls in a lot of wedding photographers’ portfolios, but it was my first time seeing them in person. with all of the rainfall, the falls were pretty strong and full. if you look closely, you can see the bridal party gathering for photos.
lindaaronwed-058

the ladies tentatively tried some jumping shots. (it was difficult to be on the rocks in heels!)
lindaaronwed-059

the guys were up next doing their best body builder poses!
lindaaronwed-075

the photographers rocking out. literally.

such a gorgeous couple!

after the group shots, the bridal party headed into the suite to start lunching while the new mr. and mrs. and i continued staggering on the rocks. i helped lindsay navigate her dress train and veil around the puddles from the morning downpour, while the photog team headed up to the balcony for a new angle – and some of my favorite photog action shots yet!

after the bridal party luncheon at the sheraton, we all caravanned it to stan hywet next for a few more shots. i had a little bit of deja vu from jennifer and robert’s may 30 wedding! i stayed just long enough to be sure they were on their way with the stan hywet photography volunteer tour guide before i headed to the reception site to greet guests.
