so i had such a lovely thursday evening at erin and david’s rehearsal. first off, when i got there, i was just gawking at the ornate catholic church which was recently saved from closing after an appeals process to the bishop. (see st. colman’s site about that.)

breathtaking!

see what i mean?

after my drool fest over the architecture of the church, deacon rich mueller started the rehearsal off going through the next day’s ceremony events. what i loved most about erin and david’s wedding is that everything was so personal… and so THEM, including the service. they chose their catholic ceremony carefully, and deacon mueller has known erin’s family for years, making it even more personal and special. i was sad that i didn’t have time to stick around for a lot of the ceremony on friday evening to hear the homily. the deacon was humerous and poignant throughout the rehearsal and whenever i was in earshot of him during the reception.

after the run through of what was to happen on friday, i was able to assist with the line up and practice processional down this very long aisle.
left: matron of honor kelly, right: erin and her father.

seriously, i can’t wait to see the ceremony photos! my iphone does not do justice to this gorgeous church. (that matched the color scheme of yellow + grey + navy really well, by the way.)

post rehearsal, i was going over a few reception details with erin and david when i caught a glimpse of the groomsmen gifts in the car. seriously how cute is this wrapped?! the guys of course wore the ties and socks the next day. kudos david!
