before i get into saturday morning’s events, here’s my final project for jillian! i designed and printed her programs, as well as added the little ribbon to mimic her invitations.

i also put together some snacks for the limo for the bridal party to enjoy after the ceremony and during the photography stops.

i started my morning off delivering fruit and bagels to the bride and her maids at charles scott – westlake.

i also had iced bottled water on hand all day long…

… and of course we had to start the day off with some mimosas!

i dodged stylists – including my friend meredyth! – at charles scott while serving mimosas to the bridesmaids who were getting all purdy.

once i left the salon, i headed to subway to pick up lunch. i arrived at jillian’s house just a few minutes before jillian and her bridesmaids. jillian went straight to chambre of aestethetics christine wojcik’s makeup chair…

…while her maids got ready throughout the house.

it was a bit of a mad house for a little while being that hair appointments ran late and there was jillian, her 6 bridesmaids and her mom trying to get ready with two videographers and a photographer watching – oh and me trying to lend a hand where ever i could. (dress ribbons are tricky, by the way.)

suzy from 2nd mile productions was easily able to tune out the distractions and get to work!

once i saw that jillian was ready to get the dress on, the limo had arrived and the maids were ready to go, i quickly hurried to the church.

random advice side note: if you’re using a roll up vinyl or paper aisle runner that has double sided tape all ready for you, might i suggest doubling up on the tape? i’ve heard several stories of ushers going to roll out the runner and it won’t stay affixed to the floor!

also, make sure that the candle lighters (usually the mothers of the bride and groom) know to ONLY light the tapered candles. one wedding i worked, a church attendant lit all three!

okay back to the details – the pew decorations were hung…

…the programs were being passed…

… and the beautiful bouquets by blooms by plantscaping were all ready for the bride and her maids.

all we needed was a bride and bridal party. just in time, all occasions limo driver bill dropped the ladies off.

although the ladies arrived rather close to the 2:00 pm hour, the organist vamped for several minutes as traffic had held up guests trying to get to the church. there was just enough time to breathe, take it all in and have a few smiles in the foyer before the processional.

and before we knew it, the runner was rolled and tacked to the floor and the maids and jillian and her dad were down the aisle!

quick action shot of brian from 2nd mile productions capturing the processional.

i just had a few minutes to grab a few photos of the ceremony before i prepared the jingle bells in baskets for the recessional and headed to springvale ballroom to set up for the reception!

****be sure to watch the amazing footage of jillian and her bridesmaids getting ready, as well as highlights from the ceremony from 2nd mile productions.***
