my apologies, i wanted to post this earlier today than i did but the internets and i weren’t getting along today… also, disclaimer: i was experimenting with camera flash settings at the church (thanks for the advice andrew!) so some of these didn’t turn out as well as i hoped. i’ll keep trying…
anyways – about jillian and kevin’s rehearsal:
because there was a 12:00 pm ceremony before their 2:00 pm ceremony on Saturday, there was also a 5:00 pm rehearsal that ran long before their 6:00 pm one on friday. luckily, it was a lovely evening so the bridal party and family members were able to do their introductions outside…
… and take a lot of nice group photos outside the church.
shortly after, we were able to enter the beautiful our lady of angels church where father cregan explained every step of the full catholic ceremony.
the bridal party got to practice the processional…
…and found their places for the service.
jillian and her father got to practice the walk to remember…
…and the official handoff from father to the groom.
we went through every step of the service to be sure there were no questions or surprises on saturday.
jillian used the engagement session time in her photo package with corey ann for her rehearsal ceremony and dinner instead. you know i love action shots of the photographers :)
corey knows and she got me back… here’s me in doc mode, taking notes of items i had to double check on saturday afternoon, etc. (thanks, corey.)

at last, we were ready to announce the new mr. and mrs. and head to the rehearsal dinner.
kevin’s parents graciously hosted the bridal party, readers and other family members, as well as corey ann and me, at the 100th bomb group.
the tables were decorated sweetly…
… and the food and service was very good. everyone enjoyed the ambiance and the company.
jillian’s bridesmaid surprised her with a special “bride” hoodie to wear at the salon the next day.
it was a lovely evening to meet everyone and get even more excited for the next day!
