disregarding all sporting events here in northeast ohio, it was a great weekend! the weather couldn’t have been more perfect for jennifer and robert. good thing since their ceremony was outdoors at the GOR-GEOUS stan hywet. i have to rave about stan hywet for a second: everyone who told me i was going to love it… go ahead, say “i told you so”. i’ve seen a ton of engagement photos from there, and other wedding photos on their site, but it is sooooo much prettier in person! every time i made a lap around the grounds i saw something else new and beautiful. and the ceremony photos… *GAH* ah-maze-ing. but that’s tomorrow…
okay from the start of the rehearsal — when everyone first drove up, we were greeted at the carriage house:
from there, we took the longer walk past the greenhouse:
around the bend:
and through this cool trellis area:
to the 550′ aisle. yes, it’s waaaaay longer than a football field and beautiful.
the bridal party all got a chance to time out their walking. the jr. bridesmaids and flower girls actually entered the aisle half way down:
while jennifer and her parents decided to walk the entire length:
can you see her yet robert?
here she is!
the alter area was beautiful and overlooked more the grounds:
diana of the summit spiritual center stood in for her husband, michael, who officiated on saturday but was at another ceremony on friday night. while she explained the hand off of the bride from her parents to her groom, jennifer and her father thought a high five might be the best way to go![]()

once the processional was all figured out, diana went through the ceremony order…
…and the readers got to practice.
bob beck, a friend of jennifer’s family who dj-ed the ceremony and the reception, was able to go through all the music.
also had to get an action shot of photographer, mark davidson, who was able to attend the rehearsal, too.
after everyone knew their places, we all less formally processed back down the aisle…
…annnnnd all the way back down around the grounds to the parking lot.
all the while, stan hywet staff sharon and john assisted jennifer, robert and their entire bridal party through the rehearsal. they were also at the wedding. i can’t even begin to describe how GREAT they are at what they do. the entire staff there – from the cart drivers to the volunteers to actual wedding coordinators do a fabulous job at making sure everything runs smoothly. they were so nice to work with!!! more on that tomorrow.
coming up: jennifer & robert – part 2: ceremony
