stalking mother nature

so i had to laugh yesterday because i got this screenshot in an email from my BFF codi , with the subject “OH NO!”. she’s within the accuweather 15-day forecast, and has been mother nature stalking since saturday. while her ceremony and reception are both indoors, you still pray for a sunny day for outdoor photo-opps, etc.

i assured her the weather WILL change every day UNTIL may 16… but it’s really hard NOT to stalk mother nature. i did it myself… and i sent out a similar email about 8 months ago:) my ceremony was outdoors and had we been pushed to their b-site, it really would have broken my heart.

so, since codi’s playing mark nolan, i thought i’d help her (and you) out by sharing:

heidzillas’ favorite sites for wedding day weather-stalking

the weather channel
first of all, did you know that the weather channel will send you daily emails from 10-days up until your wedding day?! they do. they only encourage the anxiety and stress but it’s oh-so-convenient.

accuweather
for you gotta-start-stalking as soon as possible brides, accuweather’s got the 15 day forecast

the national weather service
it’s not as pretty as weather.com and such, but i sort of trust it more since it’s “national” and all…

cleveland.com
you can get the local weather (and local news) from cleveland.com

cleveland.com – history
or, you can check the history of the weather of cleveland on your wedding date from january 1, 1900 until today.

farmer’s almanac
and for you historical types, you don’t need to buy the book. you can check out their predictions for this year online!

wkyc channel 3, newschannel 5, wjw fox 8, and 19 action news
you have to love the local weather team swith their super 10x strength awesome fab powerful doppler radar

and only because i love a good long list and lots of options:
wunderground
yahoo
cnn
intellicast
weather.org

by the way, rain on your weather day, while ironic, is also supposed to be good luck in the hindu culture! annnnnnnd if your fiance bought your engagement ring at alvin’s jewelers and it rains on your wedding day, you get the ring free! if it’s going to rain, buy matching umbrellas and galoshes for your bridesmaids – photo opps galore!

so, what’s your favorite online site to make keep you more informed than dick goddard?

AmyJean @RelentlessBride - This is really cool. I think those weather sites are probably well stalked 7 days prior and hours up to the weddingMay 5, 2009 – 4:20 am

Corey - I stalked the weather for my wedding and up until the day of it was calling for thunderstorms all day, which never appeared!

What I’m more concerned about is that feel real of 90°!!! Yikes!

BTW I am giggling that you have a screencap of the weather site from your wedding. That is awesome. :) May 5, 2009 – 5:05 am

Mary - I find this hilarious because I just weather stalked last week for my engagement pics.. I was praying for no rain all day long!! OF COURSE it rained anyway… had to reschedule.. I love this post!May 5, 2009 – 5:46 am
