happy may everyone! while i’m so excited because i feel like may is the official start of the ’09 wedding season, i had an amazing month of april. i have been tying up all kinds of wedding plans for my bff codi, who is getting married in just two weeks, and for my several clients who follow in the weeks right after her! i also had so many milestones: i booked the most clients i ever have in one month – so thank you so much to all the great *new* heidzilla-brides-to-be! i also had the most hits on my blog in one month (over 5,000! woot!), the most unique visitors (over 2,500!), and the most new visitors (pushing 2,000!) ::waves hi!! welcome!::: not to mention my new fans on facebook and followers on twitter. wow! thanks!

Heather - I think it’s phenomenal that you’re doing this giveaway! My guy smashed his ring (so much for quality gold products from quality jewelers!) ‘trying it on’ before our wedding day. So we used his father’s ring. It was sentimental because his Dad passed away a few years ago but the styling was all wrong! Heather - Congratulations, Heidi! You’ve really gone a great job with Heidzillas, and it’s so awesome that you’re doing something you love so much. I’ll leave a couple of my favorite wedding tips:
1) As long as the groom is taller, consider high heel platform shoes (they’re more comfortable than you’d think!) to avoid the cost and destruction of having your wedding dress shortened. Also, a corset back will allow you to adjust without having to worry about those alterations!
2) Find out the wedding songs of some significant couples at your wedding (parents, grandparents, MOH or BM, an aunt who is celebrating her 25th anniversary), and consider those choices (and maybe a shout out) when you’re making your music selections.
3) Print address labels, including your groom’s name and wedding date, before you go to a bridal show instead of filling out the “for more information” or “enter to win” cards.

Kelley - Why I love May: May is the perfect combination between summer and spring. Its not too cold and not too hot. You can go for walks in the park and still see spring flowers.
Why I love weddings: I love to see how each couple makes a day their own. They bring special parts of the them into each detail. Seeing everyone happy and celebrating is wonderful too. No one is ever sad at weddings, everyone is always laughing and having a good time!
Why I love weddings in May: Again the weather is perfect. If you get married in May you will have great weather. The photos will be great as well, all the gorgeous blooms and the greenery!!
Why I want the free ring: About two weeks before the wedding, my husband and I looked at each other realized we forgot to get his ring!!! The most important part of the big day. We tried all the big name jewelry stores and they said it could take 2-3 weeks for it to come in. We couldn’t chance it. We had to resort to Wal-Mart. The other issue is, his ring he has now is Titanium and cannot be sized. So he wears his ring on the right hand, not his left because it will not fit on his left hand.
We never got another ring, because life simply got away from us. I was very busy with work and school in the fall, now we are both very busy. I would love this ring so, Rick can wear it on is left hand and I can finally look down and see a ring on his left hand!
