c.c. & kevin part one – rehearsal
c.c. & kevin part two – ceremony
the reception:
all of the set up had been handled by the time i made it from the ceremony to the reception, but i was able to keep it perfect looking – especially the escort cards and such which had originally been spread out amongst three tables.

the entire reception, guests were serenaded by sonata strings from jerry bruno productions. my favorite that they played during the morning was “yellow submarine” by the beatles! because there was a string quartet and not a dj, i provided the emcee services for c.c. and kevin’s announcements. we had a brief microphone issue (sounds systems are not my strong suit!
) but it all got worked out and the day went on mostly as planned.

tina from prestige floral also provided all the floral table arrangements that popped in the wood decor with their bright and spring-y colors. c.c. insisted i take one home and it still looks perfect several days later.
the usual brunch buffet area that blue canyon uses was set up for c.c. and kevin’s brunch…
…only they had a custom menu! yuuuummm. my mouth waters every time i think about it and i don’t even LIKE breakfast that much. (menus and table numbers printed by alaun by design)
with a restaurant like blue canyon that is this big and spread out, with a fire place in the middle and some guests behind another wall, my day of coordination was a little trickier that usual…

… but it was such a gorgeous venue and the staff is just awesome. guests loved the non-party center/ballroom style of the entire reception.
okay, can we please now talk about this cake!?!? GORGEOUS! and made by phyllis lester designs. i was able to snag a piece of it too, and it was soooo good. there was literally a good 10 foot radius around this cake that smelled of sweet buttercream.

oh and i told you last week they’d be a couple of surprises!!!!
surprise #1: c.c. had phyllis lester custom design this grooms cake for kevin, who is obviously a big wwe enthusiast.
so fun right? kevin loved it.

surprise #2: guests had no idea, but once brunch was finished, toasts were made to the couple and everyone was enjoying conversation and the string quartet, i announced into the restaurant a special entertainer to perform a song for c.c. and kevin’s first dance: KELVIS!!!!
he sang and shook his hips and woo-ed the crowd. kevin was even able to assist with a little guitar action:
and when guests weren’t being entertained by kelvis they could visit the shutterbooth photobooth! it was a big hit, check it out!

the newlyweds!

the whole family got into it.

cc and her mother in law![]()
once guests were gone, i was able to pop in to take a few photos and then i wrote captions next to each one in c.c. & kevin’s scrapbook/guestbook.

heidzilla!
well if you couldn’t tell, it was a GREAT wedding, on a beautiful sunny spring day. i had such a pleasure day of coordinating for c.c. and kevin! and i can’t wait to hear all about their two week long honeymoon! luckies.
i just realized i really didn’t get a chance to catch a photo of the bride and groom at the reception, so be sure to see all of the PRO photos of the day: here they are again from the uber talented genevieve and james nisly.
