i couldn’t have asked for a better wedding to start my ’09 season. or a better couple. i have to admit, i loved working with c.c. and kevin because they reminded me so much of my husband and myself. how they talk to each other, how they plan and resolve problems, and how they love each other. i loved all of their plans too – a twist on traditional, so to say… i have dozens of photos of this beautiful wedding, so i’m going to break my posts up a bit. (and here’s the vendor preview if you missed it)
the rehearsal:
c.c. and kevin’s doc time included me attending their rehearsal. i love when that works out because i’m able to scope everything out for the next day – and more importantly get to meet everyone. the day of goes a bit easier since i’ve likely learned names and faces. not to mention, the bridal party and family know who i am the next day and feel more comfortable asking for my help. also, new adults are scary to ring bearers and flower girls if they meet me the day of. if they see me once at the rehearsal, the next day i’m an exciting new wedding friend to the bridal party kids instead of a stranger trying to convince them to smile and walk straight. (i make NO guarantees :-D)
as soon as i pulled up to their church on friday night, i got a huge smile on my face. it is sooo traditional looking and just so lovely-spring-day-wedding-ish, don’t you think?

after going through introductions and doing a run through of their processional, c.c. and kevin got an idea of what their ceremony would be like.

and the readers got an idea of how their voices sounded on the mic.

everyone got their places and “cues” while i looked on and troubleshooted problems that hadn’t popped up yet (and didn’t the next day :)).

after the run through, they were on their way to the rehearsal dinner and we were all ready for the big day.

sneak preview of the super cute kate, one of the three wedding party kids. c.c.'s 2 nieces and nephew who served as flowergirls and ringbearer.
rehearsal side note: i have to mention c.c. had the best “bow bouquet” i have ever seen. and i’ve made a couple, this one put me to shame. so props moh heather!!!
stay tuned for parts two and three!
