heidzilla bride-to-be jillian is anticipating her guests to dance the night away and wanted to do a flip flop basket. so in addition to the pink satin ribbon fest i have going on for her invites, ceremony exit bells and paper projects you’ll see soon, i mixed it up a bit with magenta paper and white ribbon for her flippy flop tags. (daring, i know.)
jillian purchased all of her black flip flops thru oldnavy.com so she didn’t have to lug 50 pairs out of the store… and try to coordinate all the sizes she wanted with their inventory. they come in bags without those plastic hanger thingie-dos that have the size marked on them. so we had to add some sort of tag indicating the size. (inspiration here, scroll a tinge)

this is obvious, but clip the rubber bands off!

and for the love of your reception hall clean-up crew, take those darn little stickers off the sides!!!

for the tags, use 24″ (2 feet) of 3/8th” ribbon + a 2″ tag with a 1/8th” hole punch and the number written on it:

put the soles back-to-back and tie in a bow around the pair of flippy flops – and clip the ends that will fray:

don’t forget a variety of sizes — jillian chose 10 of each size – sizes 5 through 9. i’m a big foot though, and wear a 10… guess i’ll have to bring my own :).

aren’t these darling? i really like them :)

arrange nicely in a basket and you’re good to go. we’ll be adding a little sign to the basket – photos of paper products coming soon!
