mission: moh – helping codi find The Dress

i am honored to be serving as my friend, codi’s maid…err… matron of honor! my love for wedding planning started when she asked me to be her “moh” and i started to help her plan back in may 2006 – over a year and a half before devin and i got engaged.

as moh, i got the pleasure of accompanying codi and her mom, deena, to find The Dress (capital T, capital D.) i was sooo excited to help codi shop – especially since i bought the very first wedding dress i tried on. i only went to one store and that was it! (brides by the falls in chagrin falls.) and, being a wedding consultant/day of coordinator, i don’t really anticipate getting to help other clients shop. (although if you’re looking for a shopping partner, i’d be MORE than happy to tag along!)

in june 2006, right after codi and joe got engaged, we visited the perfect bride and catan’s fashions to start searching for The Dress. codi wasn’t really sure what she was looking for:

does she like this one or not?
at a perfect bride

in the meantime, she got a better idea of what she does and doesn’t like. based on the styles she wanted to see and which stores carry those designers, she visited several places yesterday, including all brides beautiful in hudson, magical moments in strongsville, catan’s fashions in strongsville, leonardo’s in rocky river

she thought she wanted a short dress… sort of like this jessica mcclintock dress:

style: jessica mcclintock short

and the she fell in love with this melissa sweet dress, but no one had it.

she has always loved this alfred angelo dress… but once she had it on at magical moments, it was definitely too casual and too destinations wedding:

style: alfred angelo

and then she thought about this amy kushner at all brides beautiful for quite a while:

on friday, she had gone to leonardo’s by herself and tried this sottero & midgley and brought her mom and i back to see it. i thought for sure this would be The One the way codi had talked about it… but her mom wasn’t a huge fan.

so we headed back to catan’s fashions where she had a couple dresses in mind. she tried three dresses on again and also found one more to try… The Dress!!!!

in case joe visits the blog, i don’t want to post a direct photo… but here’s the pdf from pronovias’s site

and two other brides who have purchased this dress have videos of them in it!

it’s absolutely GORGEOUS on her!!! congrats on find the perfect dress!!!
